At 3.5 million visits a year, Acadia is one of the top 10 most-visited national parks in the United States. Visitors enjoy 27 miles of historic motor roads, 158 miles of hiking trails, and 45 miles of carriage roads. Plus, you get to enjoy beautiful drives and see 24 lakes and ponds, as well as the Atlantic Ocean (driving along the coast is highly recommended!).

While I didn’t have time to do any hiking, I enjoyed driving through and stopping at the various points to enjoy the ocean views and walking along the waters edge while listening to the waves crash against the rocks. Enjoy these photos of Maine’s National Park!

I really wish I could spend 2 weeks at each National Park thoroughly exploring it. Perhaps once I visit them all I will feel that I gave more than just a day or two. For now, there are more to visit which is hard to squeeze in for this full time wife and career woman. Stay tuned for more!
