On the way to the Grand Teton National Park, we came across Jackson (also home to Jackson Hole) which was a pleasant surprise. This cute town is known for its world class skiing and boasts four arched entrances of their park made entirely of elk horns that have been shed and collected by local Boy Scouts over the years. There are four of these arches that are used to enter the town square and they are quite impressive.

While I’m not an avid skier, I enjoyed exploring this town with their cute shops and unique town square entrances that make this town immediately identifiable. There’s also all lake activities, such as fishing and canoeing, as well as other activities. Someone could easily spend a week here exploring the entire town of Jackson and all it has to offer.

Additionally, as you enter into the park, there is a veteran memorial and we discovered the town square was registered as a national historic place.

This town is definitely worth exploring if you have time! Have you ever been? Did you ski? Tell me about it!
