Hueston Woods Covered Bridge

In 2012, Preble County unveiled a covered bridge as part of the Hueston Woods State Park as a way to attract visitors so they can experience the beauty of the local farm land, historical sites, and most importantly, their hospitality. This covered bridge serves as a welcome sign for people to visit and tell others about their Hueston Woods State Park experience.
Kris and I stumbling upon this covered bridge as part of our visit to Hueston Woods was a surprise! I mean, I had gone for the hiking, so finding this was certainly an additional bonus!
I have to say, this covered bridge is in excellent shape to be going on 12 years old! It looks great and is far from run down. It’s 108 feet long and has a six-foot covered walkway is located on each side of the bridge to provide a safer area for pedestrian traffic, along with a scenic viewing area of Four Mile Creek. There is some graffiti, but overall, the bridge is beautiful.
Interesting enough, I was able to find the below before and after photos. The original bridge that was built in 1929 and was previously referred to as Camden College Corner Road Bridge.
I think this covered bridge makes Hueston Woods State Park exceptionally unique from other state parks and I really like it! Check it out at 7667 Camden College Corner Rd, College Corner, OH 45003.
