I like pretty much all dips (like this buffalo chicken dip), but this one is my favorite. Honestly, I order spinach dip at restaurants any chance I get to see if I can find one better than this recipe and haven’t found one yet. It’s an easy party dip to make and is sure to please a crowd. Although spinach dips are a classic appetizer, this one is SO GOOD because it packs a punch from the tabasco sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 stick of butter (I use salted)
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped (or pre-chopped) – about 1 cup
  • 2 (10 oz each) packages of frozen chopped spinach, thawed
  • 1 (14 oz) can of quartered artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
  • 1 (8 oz) package of cream cheese
  • 1 (8oz) package of sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons of tabasco sauce (I add a dash more because I like it extra spicy🌶 )
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 bag of Tostitos chips (I love the scoops!)

Cooking Instructions

Melt butter in a large pan on medium heat. Add onion and simmer for five minutes. Stir in spinach, artichokes, sour cream, cream cheese, 3/4 Monterey Jack cheese, 3/4 Parmesan cheese, tabasco sauce and salt.

Stir until well blended and heated. Pour mixture into casserole dish and top with remaining Monterey Jack and Parmesan cheese. Bake in oven at 350 for 10 minutes or until cheese toppings are lightly melted.

Serve with Tostitos and enjoy!

Everyone likes a cheesy appetizer, and this one is no exception! Whip up and batch for your next gathering and be prepared to share the recipe.

Do you have a favorite spinach recipe? I’d love to give it a try.
